Can business tactics work in a nonprofit world? Gary Rectenwald, Executive Director of the Catholic Community Foundation of San Diego, says “yes”, and continues to prove it. He and his organization focus on the needs of the donor rather than the recipient, in the same way a for-profit business targets its customers by meeting their needs.
